Training Methodology
It is a training course with emphasis on principles of economics and personal and business finances, through this support the financial strengthening of the migrant micro-entrepreneur population is promoted, through weekly classes. Our syllabus is focused on the topics of savings, investment, debt, taxes, remittances, and inflation, with the aim of acquiring a culture and making better financial decisions. Sessions are 4 hours once a week for 8 weeks of the course.
Services Offered in the Course
To migrants and returnees:
- Educate about the essential concepts of microbusiness, to place migrants as key elements in their training and development process.
- Identify the capabilities and competencies for the training and development of a microentrepreneur.
- Provide the necessary tools so that micro businesses have adequate financial strength that makes them sustainable in the long term.
- Learn how to explain your financing needs and learn how to approach financing sources.
- Participate in specialized consulting processes where migrants receive training for the financial strengthening of their microbusiness.
- Promote the savings culture of migrant and returnee microentrepreneurs.
To governmental organizations (government secretaries):
- Raise awareness about the promotion of microbusiness through financial education.
- Recognize the economic and social potential of migrants and returnees, to promote the impact on the economy and local development in host communities.
- Provide education and information to regulatory bodies and financial service providers on how to expand services to migrant and returnee microentrepreneurs.
Associations or non-profit organizations supporting migrants:
- Develop collaborative synergies in order to contribute to the strengthening of collective actions in the migrant sector they serve. Share information of interest to guide and support returnees and migrants.
- ii. Establish formal alliances, through letters of understanding and/or agreements.
